ARW Doctrine

We believe in one God, who is superior to all. Who is perfect, loving, wise, having complete power, all present, knows all things, and is the Creator and Ruler of all things. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 5:48)

We believe God exists in three Persons. God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are one, and while separate in office, are undivided, co-equal in power and glory. (Matthew 28:19, Matthew 3:16-17, John 14:26, John 16:13-16)

We believe the Bible as God’s written word and as the final authority and foundation for godly faith and Christian practice. Everything we believe must be put to the test of the full counsel of God in the Holy Scripture. (John 8:31-32, 2 Timothy 3:14-16, 2 Peter 1:20-21)

We believe God created man and woman in His image, without sin, but by listening to the tempter and obeying his voice, they rebelled against God and experienced separation from Him. In consequence of their disobedience and fall, all men have become sinful in nature and because of that, are exposed to the wrath of God. (Genesis 1-3, Romans 5:12)

We believe that Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, by the sacrifice of His sinless life and resurrection from the dead, satisfied the wrath of God and now pursues and calls us through the work of His Holy Spirit. (2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 John 2:2, Romans 3:25)

We believe that salvation comes through turning towards God in repentance and putting your faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ, and experience a new birth through the work of the Holy Spirit. “if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)

We believe that God’s spirit lives in those who have put their trust in Jesus, and empowers them to grow in the knowledge of the Lord, freely keeping His commandments and attempting to live in the world that all people may see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven. The Holy Spirit also gives each saved person the inward witness of acceptance by God. (John 16:7-14, Acts 1:8, Galatians 5:22-26, 1 Corinthians 12:4-6)

We believe the soul will never die: and that our physical bodies will be resurrected. The world will then be judged by God, and the punishment of those who are outside of Christ will be eternal, and the joy and reward of the righteous will be forever before the throne of God. (1 Thessalonians 4:17, Matthew 13:24-30)
